What makes you happy?
Free this
Free that
A cup of coffee
And breathing, mostly

Survival Skills
Spent all year mastering Probability and Mathematical Statistics
Teacher taught us how to paraphrase zealous emcees in Ebonics
Asked a fellow classmate to define possibilities with a single word He began yelling binary numbers and gobbledygooks he overheard
Ah! the junk we've been fed since kindergarten with passion
Irate zombies really abhor debating on simple linear regression
Wished we'd been told about ways to start a fire with sticks
If we do survive, let’s learn more about fundamentalism in politics

Drilling Misfortune
A year before the spill
Banks called it progress
Gift to the Community
Trampoline the Economy
Birds in algae won't stay still
Dirty wings brushing recess
Waxy aqua tastes funny
All Them phone lines ring busy

Message from Davos
Blurred vision caused by disenchantment
Equality and fairness ambitions are to blame
Having trouble concentrating on reality?
Drink a bowl of soma, enjoy your frenzy

Social Limbo
Took one step forward
Felt rejected, unwelcomed
Took a stride leftward
Thought I'd trick humanness
Fell heart first in Abaddon

Sweet Contradiction
People who ask for God's favor are called pious
Many patients of the mental ward received vocal answers
People who believe Science is the Only Truth
Never read the listed side effects of their problem solvers

Alien Fling
I told her breathing was mandatory on Earth
She performed crypsis, chuckled and replied
Love will suffice, you don't need to worry
Heard she's now in the hands of the military
Area 51, X miles from Carson City
Can't camp around here, Mister Shiny Tear
Love is a ploy, wake the hell up and move on
Back on the dating scene, forthrightly insincere
No tails, no wings, a preference for internal brain
Don't take it personal, I'm far from being austere
But hermaphrodites and wraiths, please refrain

Inexorable
Everyone I love dearly will ultimately perish
Everything I cherish bears an expiration date
None of my happy memories can be cloned
And my inescapable future is already known
You ask me why I giggle when I feel forlorn
The answer hides in the mind of the unborn

A Life
Born a rebel in a rebellious family
Routine: crossed out from their dictionary
Met a nice girl with pimples and one goal
Had to buy a ring and stop to rock and roll
Found a job copying copies of copied crap
Dollar Store preservatives are such a trap
Became bitter and hoped things would get better
Got old, got sick and intentionally demented
Tombstones vandalized, teens were apprehended
Requiescat In Pace, doubters died of laughter

Identity
We were 12
They called us The Squad
We knew each other's names
We grew in numbers
Many became strangers
Now that we're an army
We've lost our identity
They called us The Squad
We knew each other's names
We grew in numbers
Many became strangers
Now that we're an army
We've lost our identity

Judging Others
She wrote with her valves, a hole in her heart
Slowly trying to die from loneliness and fear
He drafted powerful poetry using his bowels
You could tell he was allergic, probably nuts
Slowly trying to die from loneliness and fear
He drafted powerful poetry using his bowels
You could tell he was allergic, probably nuts
Had to run away from them, cerebral impostor
Call me a coward, then break another mirror
Call me a coward, then break another mirror
