Swimming Lessons for People with Adjustment Disorder

You don't want to be the belly of the universe
But you want Family to love and be proud of you
You don't want to be a living legend
But you want People to appreciate and understand your work
You don't want to manage a fan club
But you want Friends to support and walk with you

There is a slippery steel ladder

Its name is Life
The steps are sometimes missing or broken
You cannot take a step backward

Parents struggle to guide and lead you

School instructs you about climbing
Society tells you how not to fall
In the end you've learned nothing at all

There is a diving tower at the top of the device

Its name is Dixit D. End
The platform is always made of inflexible concrete
You can only take a step forward

Going up seems for some really easy

It is not the same for everybody
When you'll jump will it make a big splash
Or will it only last the time of a photo flash?

Parents will catch you before you fall in deep dark waters

But one day or the other, you become an orphan
School will throw you a lifebelt so you don't drown
But one day or the other, it's time for recess or dismissal
Society tells you how not to fall
In the end you've learned nothing at all
